Located 15 minutes North of the charming village of Montebello and less than 90 minutes from Montreal, Kenauk Nature is a complete world away from modern day life.

Come to Kenauk and you will be going back in time, back to basic living and the perfect place to escape the real world, reconnect with the family or a loved one and enjoy a stunning setting.

The Kenauk concept is simple. Just 13 individual cabins, each beautifully positioned on a lake and spread out over an area of over 265 square kilometers. From the main gate of the property, the nearest cabin is 10 minutes drive, the furthest, an hour away. A stay here really is a complete escape from the modern world and all its trappings.

Days here are filled with messing around in boats and kayaks, perhaps a spot of fishing, hiking abundant trails (over 19 miles of them) and spotting up to 200 different species of birds and 50 varieties of mammals. Go picnicking at Whitefish Lake, shoot a few clay pigeons or go bear viewing with a local guide. Evenings are spent with good friends of family, enjoying a barbecue, roasting marshmallows over the fire, playing board games or simply talking…

Kenauk Nature is a very special place; few cabins can offer such a wilderness experience within 2 hours of a major city. This is not for everyone, there are no frills here and all guests bring their own food and entertainment. There are no restaurants, spas or children’s clubs, simply a completely

tranquil, away from it all experience where silence and solitude abound.

13 cabins accommodating between two and 18 guests. Each cabin has solar power and propane heating and lighting as well as plenty of wood to burn. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens with all utensils, large fridges and cookers. Some larger cabins also have dishwashers. All cabins have barbecues, private docks and boats (kayaks, rowboats and canoe).

Cabin bedrooms vary depending on size and capacity. Many offer Queen beds as well as bunk beds ideal for children. All bedding and towels are provided.

No TV, radio or WiFi. Each cabin is equipped with a CB radio for emergencies.

Children are very welcome, this is a wonderful getaway for families. There are no facilities for children in particular, no babysitting and no cots available.

Reception and shop open from 8am daily. Fishing rods and tackle for hire (spin fishing and fly fishing), clay pigeon shooting (additional charge). Guests are also welcome to use the facilities at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello which is 20 minutes drive from the Kenauk entrance. They offer two restaurants, spa, pools, gym and golf course.

30kms of hiking trails (with or without a guide), spin fishing and fly fishing available, kayaking, canoeing (including Rabaska canoes) and boating, picnicking at Whitefish Lake (with shelters and sandy beach), swimming, sporting clays course, guided bear watching.

In winter, dogsledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and ice fishing are available.
