Set on Slater Street in the heart of downtown, ARC The Hotel must be forgiven for it’s exterior appearance. Once inside, the hotel feels warm and inviting with a comfortable lobby lounge offering complimentary tea and coffee, daily papers and even a gas fireplace to warm up in front of.
On the opposite side of the lobby guests will find the compact restaurant for breakfast and evening dining as well as a chic little lounge bar, frequented by locals and visitors alike. It’s famous for it’s signature Apple Martinis, apple being the theme throughout the hotel.
The guest rooms are simply styled and have pleasant little touches such as woollen throws on the armchairs, complimentary water and THANN toiletries. There are no views here as the hotel is central downtown, however, the rooms are still perfect retreats from the busy city

When to go
By annual average temperature, Ottawa is the seventh coldest capital in the world. Snow generally falls from late November to early April. Although Winter’s are very cold and snowy they can be a beautiful time to visit. By contrast, the summer is very warm and humid, with temperatures often above 29°C, for the warmest weather visit in May to September.
