BC’s varied climate is influenced by latitude, elevation and ocean proximity but it’s generally warmer in the south and cooler in the north. Winters are mild in Vancouver and Victoria, with only brief snowfalls, while other regions – especially the north and the interior – are subject to freezing temperatures and heavy snow from November to March.
Tofino tends not to experience snowfall, however, is susceptible to impressive Pacific storms that are fascinating to watch from January to March
Spring and fall are often warm and pleasant but rainfall can be heavy, particularly on the coast. Summers (June to September) are mostly dry and sunny with warm temperatures on the coast typically in the low to mid 20's with hotter temperatures inland surpassing 30°C at times in July and August.
Set on the edge of Tofino's wild coast, Middle Beach Lodge is perfectly hidden amongst towering cedar trees whilst boasting spectacular ocean views. Rustic and cosy in style, the lodge is the ideal retreat after a day of island adventures.
Middle Beach Lodge offers the perfect retreat to get away from it all and unwind surrounded by the natural beauty of the rugged West Coast. Walk along the pristine beaches, explore secluded coves or enjoy the views of offshore islands from the lodge decking.
The cosy guest rooms, suites and cabins have been carefully designed and built using salvaged timbers and finished with handcrafted furnishings. The adult-only Lodge at the Beach has 26 rooms with either a forest or ocean view whilst the Lodge at the Headlands is perfect for families with a selection of rooms, suites, and cabins.
Guests can enjoy daily complimentary continental breakfast with a selection of freshly baked brioche, croissants, breads and locally made Jams as well as cereals, juice, Vancouver Island Yoghurt and fresh fruit. Their seasonal restaurant, The Headlands offers sweeping views of Mackenzie Beach and you can enjoy freshly caught seafood from Tofino fisherman.
Middle Beach Lodge is just 3km from Tofino, a welcoming picturesque coastal village filled with eateries, bakeries, cosy pubs, boutique shops and galleries. From Tofino you can join a whale watching tour, go on a float plane tour or go sea kayaking.
Travel by Zodiac along the calm and tranquil waters of Clayoquot Sound in search of coastal black bears who wander down to the water's edge to forage for food. Viewing from the water ensures an up close encounter with these fascinating creatures.
