Two luxurious beach house villas - Bel Ha and Yuum Ha - are nestled between the jungle and pristine coral beach and belong to nearby boutique hotel Esencia. With a fantastic restaurant and spa, guests benefit from use of the hotel facilities, however each villa is serviced by a private concierge and butler service 24/7, house keeper, gardener and private chef service to personalize daily menus.

Once the home of the celebrated Spanish guitarist, Villa Yuum Ha is low key and understated, with a more traditional style compared to its sister property. Accommodating up to 12 guests split between the main villa and a beach front cabana, it’s a great option for a party that appreciates privacy while being together. The beach front cabana is surrounded by white powder sand and unbeatable beach view, the cabana can accommodate 2 adults and 2 young children in its king size bed and sofa bed with ensuite bathroom. With a chic seating area inside and out, and its own beach palapa right in front of the ocean it is rustic bare-foot luxury at its best. Walk one-hundred steps into the jungle, and you'll find the main villa, with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The ground floor houses the kitchen, living room, colonial style patio and two suites both with ensuite bathrooms and private garden terraces. The second floor has a master suite, which can accommodate 4 guests with a king bed and 2 single beds and features a large private balcony with a full garden view and solarium overlooking the jungle. There is a private swimming pool and poolside thalapa and grill for your private chef to cook al fresco.
Situated adjacent to Hotel Esencia is the smallest of the villas, comfortably sleeping 8-10 guests in three ocean suites and one master suite and four bathrooms. The ground floor houses the kitchen, guest room, large open living room and indoor and outdoor dining area with patio for entertaining. There are two ocean suites on the ground floor with ensuite bathrooms, with double vanities and walk-in closets, bath tubs and shower rooms and private terraces. The second level offers the master suite and ocean suite, a study and three terraces from which to admire the view. The villa has a private pool and beach palapa with sitting and lounging area for entertaining and a barbecue for cooking by the house chef.
The villas are fitted with fully equipped kitchens, with staff taking grocery orders in advance of arrival and during your stay to create a personalized menu with the freshest of local ingredients. From ceviche, guacamole, fresh grilled fish, traditional tacos and enchiladas, salads and juices, your private chef and waitress is on hand to serve meals and snacks. Your grocery bill will simply be charged to the incidental bill at the end of your stay.
For a change of scene, Hotel Esencia offers two restaurants, using fresh, exotic ingredients as well as a thalapa beach front bar serving cold press juices by day and delicious cocktails by night. There is also swimming and diving in cenotes and cavern diving, exploring the massive Reserva la Biosfera Sian Ka'an and visiting ancient Mayan ruins from the dramatically situated Tulum to the citadel of Coba. When to go
The best time to visit the Yucatan is between November and April, in the slightly milder and dryer months. The ‘rainy’ season begins in the south in June and runs until November. Although it can be hotter and more humid at this time of year, usually it only rains for a couple of hours before the weather clears. The wettest months tend to be September and October due to the effects of the hurricane season and so it is best to avoid these times for guaranteed good weather.
