The Viceroy Zihuatanejo, formerly The Tides Zihuatenejo, features beautiful rooms and suites set in adobe-style villas amongst lush vegetation with coconut trees and colorful hibiscus. The beautiful one-bedroom Penthouse Suites, ranging from 700-900 sq ft, are set up high, affording amazing, sweeping views of Zihuatanejo Bay. They feature an open-air living room and an infinity-edge plunge pool, a canopied king size bed and an amazing indoor-outdoor bathroom.
The 1,465 sq ft Tides Suite has an unrivalled 180-degree view of Zihuatanejo Bay. There are two uniquely designed bedrooms and two bathrooms finished with indigenous marble. The spacious open-air living area features an oversized daybed and two seating areas, making a superb spot for private dining.
Children are accepted at the Viceroy Zihuatanejo, on a request basis. They are only permitted to stay in the Garden and Beach Suites. Babysitting and cots can easily be arranged upon request.

When to go
The rainy summer season lasts from June to October, when it can be very hot and humid. The best month to visit is November, when the surrounding countryside is verdant after the summer rains. January and February is whale-watching season. Come between November and March to see nesting and hatching turtles, from December to March if you want to watch dolphins and whales, or in April to spot giant manta rays.
