Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

I was unsure as to what to expect from the BodyHoliday but it is the perfect place to come if you want to be pampered with spa treatments, enjoy some fitness, bask in the sunshine and enjoy some lovely food. At first I thought the whole concept would mean no alcohol - not the case! Just means you can work it off by doing a zumba class, aqua aerobics or on the treadmill! A huge spa to enjoy with a spa treatment to enjoy each and every day you are there, all included. The rooms have no frills, all quite functional but that it is because the guests spend very little time in them as there is so much to do. Never a dull moment!

Before I visited here I really didn't know what to make of the concept, as it appeared to be a tad mass market in my mind, however I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised by the BodyHoliday. It is stylish, elegant, the food is excellent, especially the array of salads at lunchtime, wine is NOT off the menu and the beach is stunning.
Whilst the rooms might be a little functional, the point is you are supposed to be on the beach, at a class or in the spa. I would come here on my own holiday with my Mum or a friend to have a week of well being and fun in the sun. I enjoyed a body wrap at the spa and it was excellent, the therapists really know their stuff here.

The BodyHoliday was one of my favourite hotels on my recent visit to St Lucia. What stands out is the relaxed atmosphere and a real sense that everyone is enjoying their stay.
You really can do as much or as little as you like, with this is the perfect place for couples who enjoy the option of plenty of activities. Some of the activities you could expect during your stay would be an early morning hike or bike trip to Pigeon Island, golf lessons, tennis lessons, tai chi, body spin, kayak to Pigeon Point Beach, the list is endless.
Breakfast and lunch are an informal affair with buffet options whereas in the evenings it is time to dress up and enjoy an la carte menu with an impressive selection of wine. You can pop into the Piano Bar before dinner and enjoy a cocktail or 2, this is a real social hub and a great place to meet other guests.
Onto the beautiful stretch of beach where you can sit back and relax on one of the loungers or cabanas, using your flag when you need some refreshments or head over to the watersports hut where they will set you up for your chosen sport, be it hobie cats, windsurfing, wake boarding or organising a dive, they have pretty much everything you could want.
The staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome and for those travelling alone and wanting some company you can join the many other singles that holiday here on the communal table for meals.
The perfect choice of holiday where you can be as active or as relaxed as you want to be, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Please note this is a non smoking resort, including your balconies and outside areas (they do have a smoking area but you are asked to not smoke anywhere else).
