Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

Curtain Bluff is a great family resort with loads of activities on offer. Non-motorized water sports are included in the All Inclusive Package.
No TV in the rooms means you can spend that quality time with the family but don't worry because there are 2 TV rooms at the resort to relax in.

Curtain Bluff is spread over two beaches; the calm Caribbean side where the water sports are operated from and then the dramatic Atlantic side.
Guests stay on an all inclusive basis which also includes water sports; sailing and diving included!

Around for almost half a century now, however Curtain Bluff was a real hit for me. I love that you have two vastly different beaches with the dramatic waves of the Atlantic to one side and the calm Caribbean sea where you can swim in the calm waters.
There are so many activities here so for those who don't just want to be horizontal for a week this is the perfect place and almost everything is included in the All inclusive, from Pilates to diving.
The kids program here is fabulous and much more creative than just a simple play room with lots of outdoor activities and sports based fun. There is also a kids playground which I know this would keep my two children entertained perfectly whilst my husband and I could enjoy lunch as it is cleverly positioned close to the beach and the beach restaurant.
Whilst the rooms are not the most modern, I liked the simple Caribbean elegance and the Grace Bay and Morris Suites have wonderful outdoor living spaces. The Spa was the highlight here for me with a beautiful open air lounge with incredible views out to Monserrat. I think that compared to other properties Curtain Bluff can look a little higher priced initially however the inclusions in the All Inclusive are great value and mean you do not leave with a ridiculous bill so the initial outlay is well worth it.

Curtain Bluff is great for active families. The all-inclusive package includes a whole range of watersports, including daily snorkeling trips to the beautiful Cades Reef, and for certified divers, Scuba diving is even included! There are also extensive tennis facilities with several tennis camps held throughout the year, and a really beautiful spa where you can relax afterwards. Their recent addition of a children's club is perfect for families with younger children

One of things I love about Curtain Bluff is that all the rooms are located right along the beach or on the bluff allowing a lovely sea breeze into your room, so there is no need to use the air conditioning. Curtain Bluff is located near to Cades Reef - one of the best snorkeling spots in Antigua. As this is an All Inclusive resort, your snorkeling trips to the reef are all included in the price.

All rooms have sea view and the higher up the bluff the better the view! - this resort also offers the most amazing spa -
Gemma Dobson (Staff)
The suites located on the bluff offer the most fantastic view and the sound of the waves crashing can be heard from your balcony, as this is the more rugged beach and not suitable for swimming its often deserted as most people use the hotels other beach so its a great beach to go for a walk or jog along or relax in one of their hammocks with a good book!
