The immediate surrounds of the Camp are protected by discreet electric fencing. This serves a dual purpose: to ensure the safety of Guests and to deter the resident elephants from uprooting trees in the immediate vicinity. It also enables Guests to walk safely around Camp by themselves.
Every amenity is provided for in the ten luxury suites. Echoing the design of the main lodge, the suites are built in stone and thatch. Sliding glass doors can open two sides of the room to take best advantage of the spectacular views over the surrounding bush.
All suites have private plunge pools on secluded decks, en-suite bathrooms with his and hers vanities, showers and baths, outdoor showers, air-conditioning and under-floor heating for whatever time of year you visit.
Experienced rangers take Guests on game drives and walks and can almost guarantee excellent sightings of all plains game and their accompanying predators. Night drives at Kichaka are not to be missed, the minimal light pollution makes for incredible star gazing on a Cosmic Safari, it is also an excellent opportunity to search for some of the more elusive nocturnal species.
If you are feeling less energetic, the waterhole below camp attracts great numbers of game and is often the chosen spot for a resident pod of hippo.
Kichaka takes pride in offering a high level of personal and flexible service throughout. Meals can be enjoyed in the main dining room, in your suite or on one of the many decks of the Main Lodge.
