To start planning your holiday to Letaka Safaris
Letaka Safaris' mobile camping safaris offer you the chance to move around Botswana's premier wildlife reserves with the same guide throughout and staying in fully-serviced camps in exceptional locations for a truly authentic safari experience.
Letaka Safaris' scheduled departure safaris are run by brothers Grant and Brent Reed who have grown up in Botswana and have honed their knowledge of the bush and their guiding with over 40 years experience between the two of them. Safaris are led by highly-qualified guides and move between different locations with a few nights in each area. The safaris are accompanied by the same guide throughout who will tailor the safari to the groups interests, with never more than seven guests on each departure guaranteeing a window seat for all.
The locations that are chosen are off the beaten track and the focus is on providing guests with an authentic mobile safari experience. Tents are simple but very comfortable, with walk-in East African-style tents with camp beds and duvets with an en-suite bathroom with long-drop loo and hot water bucket shower. On set departures camp will move every third day. While you are out on game drives the camp will be taken down by the staff and moved and erected in the next location, all ready for your arrival at the end of another busy day on safari. Enjoy dinner under the stars in remote locations and share stories about what you have seen on safari that day.
On a Letaka Safari, you will explore Botswana's premier game viewing territory on game drives in 4x4 vehicles with your experienced guide. You will also be able to go on boat trips and mokoro rides (water levels dependent) and bush walks for a different perspective on the bush as well as enjoying some fabulous bird watching. As the safari experience is entirely tailored to guests' specific interests you will find that often no two days will be the same.
Letaka Safaris run fully-serviced mobile camps with a team of staff. Accommodation is provided in spacious walk-in East African tents which have en-suite shower rooms with long drop loo and bucket shower. All tents are equipped with comfortable camp beds which have proper linen and duvets.
Letaka Safaris are entirely tailored to each guest's interests and requirements and daily activities will vary dependent on these interests, the season and where you are staying. Typically activities are focused on game drives, walking and boat-based activities (water-level and location dependent)
