Description

Located on a private reserve in Botwana’s Linyanti Reserve, Little DumaTau is an exclusive, four-tent safari camp due to open in August 2020. Experience the incredible biodiversity of northern Botswana’s wetlands from the comfort of this luxurious camp.

Sister camp to the nearby DumaTau, Little DumaTau promises to offer an exclusive safari experience amongst some of Botswana’s most wildlife-rich landscapes.

Spread along the banks of the Linyanti River, the four tented suites are spacious and private, each with a shaded veranda and plunge pool. Inside, sublimely comfortable beds are dressed in the softest of linens, draped in mosquito nets and overlooking the river bank. En-suite bathrooms feature both indoor and outdoor showers and standalone tubs. The heart of the camp includes the dining area and living tent, complete with comfortable sofas and cosy corners for relaxation and soaking up the incredible river and lagoon views. Meals are enjoyed around the communal dining table or in a private spot on the deck, feasting on local produce and a delicious array of both Botswana and international cuisine, alongside a list of fine wines and spirits. Enjoy daily sundowners next to the crackling fire pit, watching as the nocturnal animals emerge for their night’s activity, and listening as herds of elephant come to drink at dusk.

Days at Little DumaTau are spent exploring the spectacular biodiversity of the wetlands, on 4x4 game drives, boat safaris and guided nature walks. This particular reserve is home to four of the Big Five, including vast herds of elephants that thrive in this lush, aquatic environment. Smaller species such as cheetah, wild dog and caracal also stalk the reserve, in search of the many species of grazers. For the ultimate experience, take to the skies on a helicopter trip high above the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, observing the incredible array of wildlife and the stunning, lush habitat from the air – giving a whole new perspective on this remarkable corner of Botswana. For the safari-weary, visit the camp’s wellness space, shared with the sister camp DumaTau. Enjoy a relaxing massage overlooking the Linyanti River, listening to the sounds of the bush as you are rejuvenated and pampered by talented spa therapists in the most spectacular surroundings.
