Linyanti Bush Camp overlooks the endless vistas of the Linyanti marshes, where game frequently strolls past the lodge following the watery channels. Linyanti is a bird watchers paradise with hundreds of different species, both migrant and resident in the diverse habitats of the area. The Linyanti is well know for phenomenal game viewing: huge herds of buffalo and elephant move back and forth through the marshes. Regularly sighted predators include lion, leopard, cheetah and the rare wild dog.
Beks Ndlovu is the owner of Linyanti Bush Camp. Beks has over a decade of guiding experience in Zimbabwe and Botswana, and has been running his own camps across the two countries for a similar amount of time. His experience and knowledge of Botswana and Zimbabwe is phenomenal, he and his wife Sophia passionately believe that the guides and hosts are the key to a memorable safari experience and at Linyanti Bush Camp, the guiding, hosting and service are all exceptional.
The camp itself has six comfortable tents, each with en suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. The main tent is set on a raised deck overlooking the floodplains and marshes and there is also a dining area, small library and a small splash pool.
With only six tented rooms, the camp is perfect for small groups or families, each tent has an en-suite bathroom. Every tent also has a small decking area overlooking the marshes, where guests can sit in privacy and watch the game wander freely past.
Linyanti Bush Camp accepts children of all ages but do bear in mind that as with most camps in Botswana, it is unfenced and wildlife will occasionally pass through the campsite, therefore it is not recommended for children under 7. Only children over the age of 16 will be allowed to participate in game walks.
The main tent has a covered dining area, library and bar. There is a decking area set above the marshes where you can relax with a drink as the sun sets.
Linyanti Bush Camp offers a wide variety of activities, allowing guests to fully explore the varied eco-systems by vehicle, on foot or on water: either by traditional mokoros, speed boat or pontoon.
Two additional activities make this camp unique. Firstly as the camp is set within a private reserve, night drives are on offer. Guests that want to take to the skies also have the option of requesting a scenic helicopter flight in search of animals below.
