Egypt has year-round sun, and almost no rain. Daytime temperatures range from pleasantly warm in the winter to very hot in the summer. Northerly cities such as Cairo and Alexandria are generally about 5ÂșC cooler than southerly areas such as Aswan and Abu Simbel. Nights in the desert can be extremely cold.

Description

Sanctuary Sun Boat IV has just 40 cabins and suites in total, with a chic art deco style. Offering three-, four- and 10-night itineraries, the boat sails between Luxor and Aswan offering guests the chance to explore the legendary sites along the Nile.

With 36 cabins, two Presidential Suites and two Royal Suites, Sanctuary Sun Boat IV has an intimate feel with excellent service and award-winning chefs.

The boat is furnished using rich teak wood floors with art deco influences and a chic style. Facilities include a swimming pool on the sun deck and a gymnasium.

Sanctuary Sun Boat IV has varying itineraries, taking guests between Luxor and Aswan and vice versa. Guests can visit the wonders of the River Nile with experienced Egyptologists, including trips to the beautiful Temple of Philae, the Aswan Dams, and the Valleys of the Kings and Queens.

Four night cruises depart from Luxor, while three night cruises depart from Aswan. In both Luxor and Aswan the docks are in front of the Military Officers Club.

How to get there

To reach the docks, we recommend flying from Cairo to either destination. The flying time from Cairo to Luxor is 1-hour, and from Cairo to Aswan it is 1-hour 30-minutes.
