Soma Bay enjoys year-round sunshine. Winters are temperate, with daytime temperatures averaging in the low to mid 20º C. Summer temperatures average in the low 30º C. Rainfall is very rare at Soma Bay. In summer, a dry breeze keeps the climate comfortable and temperatures moderate. Dry desert wind keeps humidity levels low. Soma Bay is blessed with an unbeatable combination of low humidity and maximum mean temperatures in the mid 30º C. As a result, Soma Bay is comfortable year-round, even in summer; more so than most Mediterranean destinations. Because it is located on the Western side of the Red Sea, summers at Soma Bay are also far more comfortable than at many other resort destinations on the Red Sea.

Kempinski Soma Bay is a perfect beach escape - lovely swimming pools, a large beach which is well looked-after, a good range of restaurants and good service. The hotel itself doesn't have a huge amount of activities or a spa - but Soma Bay as a location has plenty of watersports and activities as well as a spa - you just need to hop on a shuttle bus to a nearby hotel. The hotel has a really nice outlook onto the sea and the swimming pools and beautifully arranged.

There is plenty to do at the hotel and nearby, whether that be kite surfing, sailing, golf, enjoying a spa treatment, relaxing in the sunshine or the kids enjoying the children's club - there will never be a dull moment. For those wanting more of an exclusive stay opt for the Laguna Club and enjoy the benefits - all day dining, daily newspapers, separate check in etc. Please do note that the hotel cannot guarantee connecting rooms but we will always try our hardest to accommodate this!
