Egypt enjoys a mild climate, making it a good year round destination. However, temperatures increase as you travel due south. Cairo can be chilly between December and February, and very hot between June and September. But the heat in Egypt is made bearable by the northerly breeze that leads to a drop in temperature at night. Peak temperatures in Upper Egypt occur between May and October, and are accompanied by extremely low humidity. The best time to visit Cairo is in the cooler months between November and March
Cairo has long-standing populations of major religious groups and past colonial powers, so it’s possible to find celebrations for most every major vacation. Islam, however, is the prevailing force here, and the month of Ramadan is one of the most pronounced Islamic vacations. It happens in July or August, and during this time, some shops and restaurants may stay closed during the daytime fast.

This hotel is classically Four Seasons in style, quite traditional and very high quality. Personally, I would recommend rooms with Pyramid and Botanical Garden views rather than Nile views as there is a Four Seasons apartment block between the hotel and the river. The service is very good and it is well-located to get to both old Cairo, Downtown and the Pyramids. Great for families as it's the only hotel in Cairo with a kids club, and there are interconnecting rooms.

A wonderful city hotel. Rooms have views of the either the botanical gardens and the pyramids in the distance or the River Nile. This is a good option for families as it does have a children's club - the only hotel in Cairo which does.

After a hectic day of sightseeing in busy Cairo the Four Seasons is a luxury haven to come back too. The rooms are a good size and have lovely big marble bathrooms. The location is right on the Nile so it is worth opting for a room with a view.
