Situated just south of the equator, the Seychelles have a warm tropical climate. The consistently warm tropical weather makes the Seychelles a good year round destination.
There is little fluctuation in warmth, with temperatures ranging from 24C to 31C all year round. From May to October a southeast trade wind can bring marginally cooler weather and fresh breezes. From November to March the northwest monsoon wind blows, typically raising temperature and humidity. December and January are the wettest months, but the rain falls in short sharp bursts before the sun comes out again.
Situated on two of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahé in the Seychelles, Constance Ephelia Resort overlooks the marine park of Port Launay, enjoying a unique location within 120 hectares of land with luxuriant and rare vegetation.
Ephelia is a popular choice for families on Mahe. With extensive facilities including numerous pools, restaurants and bars, this is a buzzy resort with plenty to keep the family occupied.
Choose from contemporary junior suites or one of the gorgeous private villas, each with its own private pool. Many villas are specifically designed with families in mind, making this a great choice for a family holiday.
There are five restaurants and bars, each with their own concept to suit each guest as well as a host of water sports, tennis and the only squash court on Mahé.
The spa boasts 11 single treatment rooms, one double treatment room, two facial treatment rooms, a hair salon, a manicure and pedicure treatment room, a beauty bar including nail, eyebrow and make up bar to unwind and fully enjoy a tropical and holistic experience. There are also three dedicated Shiseido treatment rooms all equipped with a specially designed scrub area and a Japanese bath nestled in a private garden. Ephelia is a large resort but it has been designed in such a way that you are unaware of how many rooms and villas there actually are! The Junior Suites are all divided into little clusters and the pools and restaurants have been spread around the resort so it doesn't feel too crowded. The Junior Suites are really comfortable and practical and although I would describe this hotel as a four star standard, the rooms are luxurious enough to fit into the five star bracket. We dined in Adam & Eve restaurant in the evening, which offers Asian cuisine and the quality and service was excellent. There is so much to do at this hotel to keep everyone entertained - try out the Zip line and the rock climbing, or play a game of squash, tennis or go cycling. The kids club offers a very impressive space for children and they offer an extensive array of exciting and educational activities. There is a fabulous little restaurant nearby you can try for an al fresco lunch. One of my travelling companions was lucky enough to witness a Hawksbill Turtle nesting on the south beach in the morning during our stay - a very special and memorable experience. The nesting season is from October to March.

Constance Ephelia is a large resort, with an abundance of activities making it a great choice for families. I preferred the North Part of the island which has the best beach for swimming, and the more spacious accommodations, Senior Suites and a selection of villas. The villas all have bikes which makes getting around the large resort nice and easy.

I think Ephelia is a fabulous four star resort style property for families or couples alike, I stayed in the lead in room category a Junior Suite and this works perfectly if you'd like pone extra bed placed in there for a child or if you prefer all the ground floor ones interconnect via an internal door - perfect if needing more space!
If staying as a couple I would recommend we request the corner Junior Suites for you as they feel lighter inside as they have two walls of glass letting in more light and giving a feeling of more space.
For families wanting something a little larger and nearer the North Beach (which I think is the nicer one for swimming) then the spa suites can actually work really well as instead of the second room being set up as a spa, two beds can be placed in here. I saw one of these set up whilst there and found it very impressive and would love to stay there with my daughter it would work really well and you have your own infinity pool and enclosed small garden.

Constance Ephelia is a large resort on the main island of Mahe, 40 minutes drive from the airport. Its unique location on the island means it has two beaches: North and South. For those exploring the resort you can also find un-serviced secluded beaches. This large resort has a lovely feel about it, and although often full you will never feel crowded due to the size and layout of the property. The villas are spread throughout the resort with different locations and views. The family villas have three bedrooms and are very private. The beach villas and suites are spread in clusters with each series having its own pool, choose from 4 pools and dine across 5 restaurants. Get around the island by the golf buggy shuttle service, bikes, or by foot. It is fantastic for families of all ages with an excellent kids club with full activities programme, and exciting and unique activities such as zip lining and rock climbing for all ages. There is so much going on here to choose from to keep the whole family entertained, other activities include: tennis, squash, sailing, motorised sports, snorkelling and pedalos.

Constance Ephelia feels more like a village than a hotel with 309 rooms in total. There are plenty of pools, beaches and activities to enjoy. Spa, tennis, squash. Bikes to get around or buggy shuttle service which goes around the resort every 15 minutes. Make sure you make restaurant reservations or dine at Corosol the buffet restaurant featuring themed evenings.

Ephelia is a large resort, split into a North and South wing- they even have separate entrances from the road. It has plenty of activities to offer for the whole family. For the more active you can even do rock climbing and zip wiring in the resort. It does have a nice beach, although at time it can be busy with lots of locals, which is fun but not quiet. The accommodation is very light and airy. They are modern in design with some offering private pools in their own walled gardens, which is perfect for families. The spa is amazing, offering 18 treatment rooms. There is plenty of dining options with five restaurants within the resort.
