Average time to visit
Uganda can be visited at any time of year. Most of Uganda enjoys the perfect tropical climate. Temperatures average about 26°C during the day and 16°C at night. The hottest months are from December to February.
It is generally rainy (particularly during the months of March to May, September to November), while the remaining months (December to February, June to August) comprise Uganda's two dry seasons.

Description
Pineapple Bay Resort is found on Bulago Island in Lake Victoria. It is the perfect place to unwind after a safari, walk on the white sand beaches and explore this tropical island. The eight large chalets have a terrace to relax on and soak up the views.
Pineapple Bay is located on Bulago Island, in Lake Victoria. Covering 500 acres, Bulago Island is a small paradise away from the hustle of urban life. Surrounded by the lake, its shoreline is made up of rocky outcrops, low cliffs and long white sand beaches. Around the shore, the soil is highly fertile and tree-covered. The north-east tip of the island contains a small portion of rainforest and the bird-life on Bulago is second to none with over 300 different species of birds.
Take off your shoes, wrap yourself in a soft colorful kikoy and unwind. Relax by the pool, overlooking the lake or take the opportuinty to hike around the island and climb up to one of the two peaks to get unrivalled views over the whole island. Spend a day out on the lake to try and catch the rare Nile Perch fish. One evening, wander round to the west coast of the island and watch the sunset behind the other islands dotted around the lake.
Accommodation
There are eight spacious chalets which each have their own verandah and an indoor living area. The bathrooms have a large shower and a bath with views over the lake. Six of these chalets can have an additional bed set up and are perfect for families.
Childcare
Children of all ages are accepted at Pineapple Bay and there are plenty of things to do for children on the island.
Facilities
The lodge has a pool overlooking the lake where you can relax and unwind. There is a spacious terrace where lunch and dinner are served and you can relax in the shade on one of the comfortable sofas. The food is absolutely delicious and you can enjoy the freshest fish caught the same day.
Activities
Bulago Island is very small and is perfect for a relaxing break after gorilla trekking or a safari. Take a picnic up to the hut on the top of the hill and to see one of the best sunsets in Africa. Try your hand at catching Tilapia or the rare Nile Perch fish. Take a boat trip to Ngamba Island to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
