Uganda can be visited at any time of year. Most of Uganda enjoys the perfect tropical climate. Temperatures average about 26°C during the day and 16°C at night. The hottest months are from December to February.
It is generally rainy (particularly during the months of March to May, September to November), while the remaining months (December to February, June to August) comprise Uganda's two dry seasons.

Gorilla Forest Camp has an impressive location in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in south-western Uganda and is the perfect place to stay when tracking the endangered mountain gorilla that Bwindi National Park is most famous for. There are just eight luxurious tents which have impressive views over the park and Virunga volcanoes in the distance. Keep an eye out for gorillas in the garden as they are known to come and visit the camp itself!
As the name suggests, the main reason to stay at Gorilla Forest Camp is to track the endangered mountain gorillas, with half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. An exclusive experience is on offer with just eight people allowed to track each group daily, making for a truly wonderful encounter. It can sometimes take a few hours to reach the gorillas, but once you find them you can spend a maximum of one hour with them, for one of the most breath-taking experiences of your life.
Gorilla Forest Camp has a total of eight luxury tents which are wonderfully set overlooking Bwindi, with a bath that enjoys panoramic views. The main area of the camp has a cosy lounge and bar area, which is the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and trade stories of your day spent gorilla tracking with fellow guests. There is also a mini spa where you can unwind and relax after a tiring day of trekking.
Gorilla Forest Camp has a total of eight luxury tents which have en-suite bathrooms, including a large bathtub looking out over Bwindi National Park.
Children of all ages are welcome at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, but please note that children aged 15 and younger are required to share a room with an adult. Babysitting is available upon request at an additional charge.
Please note that the minimum age for gorilla trekking is 15 years.

Gorilla Forest Camp is hidden deep within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in south-west Uganda.
How to get there
8-hour 30-minute international flight from London to Entebbe, followed by either a 2-hour charter flight or a 10-hour drive from Kampala. Charter flights are from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip, with a road transfer from the airstrip to the lodge, taking around 1 hour 15 minutes.
