Description

Introducing Constance Aiyana, a stunning beach property new to the Constance portfolio nestled in between fragrant tropical gardens and the white powdery beaches of Pemba island.

The property is host to 30 villas which vary in five different sizes and styles, and can therefore host parties of various numbers and budget. East of  these beautiful villas looks out over the stunning turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and are inspired by African architecture with high ceilings, a pastel pallet and built using locally sourced materials such as coconut brooms and limestone.

The entry level rooms are the Prestige villas which offer direct access to the silky beach with only one bedroom. Next you have the Senior villas which are slightly larger with a living room. The Ambassador Villas have two bedrooms with a private infinity pool and the Royal Villa has three bedrooms again with a private infinity pool.

The cream of the crop is the two bedroom Presidential villa which has its own private infinity pool as well as breathtaking views of the ocean.

Constance Aiyana's meals are provided at the main restaurant which is just set back from the beach and looks out over the ocean. The cuisine is all about bringing out the authentic African flavors and is a fusion of traditional Zanzibari and international dishes. Seafood is of course a big influence with fresh delicious fish available every day.

Guests staying in a villa without a private infinity pool can of course cool off in the resorts main swimming pool and those wanting to indulge completely can enjoy a host of amazing spa treatments using aromatic natural products inspired by plants from the Indian Ocean in the incredible U Spa.

Location & Directions

Zanzibar and the coast

Constance Aiyana is situated on the extreme northern edge part of Pemba Island on the Ras Kigomasha peninsula.

When to go

Situated only 6° south of the equator, Zanzibar enjoys ideal vacation weather. Temperatures average between 24°C and 27°C throughout the year with 7-9 hours of sunshine per day.

There are 2 rainy seasons: Acute, brief showers, lasting about an hour in the morning occur for a couple of weeks during November. The rains last slightly longer in April and May, but even then it does not rain every day. These rains replenish the Island and are often referred to as the “Green Season”.
