All of the climbs we organize use the best crew and highest quality equipment in excellent condition. The guides are the finest. They're well looked after and receive regular training to ensure that their knowledge is completely up-to-date. They also carry supplementary oxygen, pulse oximeters and customized evacuation stretchers as well as being fully-qualified in first aid, including CPR.

Accommodation

Accommodation throughout is of the highest standard and luxurious by Kilimanjaro standards. You stay in large dome tents with thick mattresses and sleeping bags with a thermal liner and pillows. The expeditions use a 'runner' whose sole job each day is to go on ahead to the next camp to bag the best site. The camp is set up for you ready for your arrival to allow you to spend your non-climbing time relaxing and preparing for the next day. There is also a separate portable chemical toilet tent which is for sole use by your private group.

When to go

Tanzania is a large country, with a varied climate. Generally, the long rains run from March to May - the temperature is warm and the humidity is high. June to October is the long dry season, and the short rains are in November and December, much lighter than the long rains. January and February are again dry (the short dry season) so this is another good time to visit.
