The amazing location of the camp means that you can enjoy frequent wildlife sightings without the need to leave camp as the game cools off in the river in front of you.
The 11 spacious tented and semi-tented bungalows are set on wooden platforms and each of them have their own veranda to relax on and watch the game. The bungalows are all situated with the perfect amount of space between them to ensure maximum privacy and peace. The en-suite bathrooms are all large and have traditional bucket showers.
There is also Private Galdessa which is a separate private camp consisting of three bandas and its own dining room and lounge. This can be booked exclusively to allow your party total privacy and freedom.
Galdessa Camp offers wonderful game drives in an ideal location and the open four-wheel drives will take you to explore the river frontage and it's seasonal tributaries. These are a prime place for spotting lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo and rhino. The camp also offers walking safaris as Tsavo East National Park is a great place for this and you can enjoy discovering the land on foot and getting up close and personal with the wildlife. Sundowners and bush breakfasts on game drives or early morning walks are also a real treat.

The camp is situated along the Galana River, sheltered by fringed doum palms and overlooking the Yatta Plateau, 15km upstream of Lugard's Falls.
When to go
The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter.
