There is so much to see in Siem Reap, from the famous Angkor Wat to the eerie faces of Bayon and ‘Tomb Raider’ temple of Ta Prohm.
Siem Reap is more than just temples, offering lively nightlife, inviting cafes and restaurants and colourful markets.
This honeymoon is perfect for those looking for a fabulous combination of culture and beach, with plenty of time to relax and soak it all up.
Explore Bangkok together, famed for its great sky bars, shopping opportunities, nightlife and excellent dining.
Relax on one of Thailand's pristine west coast beaches at the end of your trip, perhaps indulge in a spa treatment and reflect on your adventures.
November to April is the best time to visit Cambodia and the west coast of Thailand with dry, sunny days that are ideal for exploring the temples and making the most of the stunning beach. An exciting time to visit Thailand is during Songkran from 13-15 April when the whole country turns into a big water fight. If you would like to travel from May to October we would recommend the east coast of Thailand as an alternative for the beach as the weather will be a lot drier on that side.
Escape together for a fantastic three-centre holiday combining the incredible temples of Angkor with some time to relax on a picturesque Thai island. This honeymoon suggestion is a fully immersive and romantic getaway for adventurous couples, balancing an exciting city break with the rich culture of Cambodia’s lost civilisation and finishing with a stay on a beautiful, tropical beach.
Begin your honeymoon with a two night stay in the bustling capital city of Bangkok. The perfect introduction for first-timers to Asia, and a place many repeat visitors love to return to, there is always something new to do or see, from exploring the tangled maze of ‘klongs’ (canals) with their floating markets or trying to find the best street food in Bang Rak. For an exciting introduction to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, two of the most iconic locations in Bangkok, or for a more in-depth revisit, our expert guide will escort you to Wat Pho in time to see the gathering of the orange-robed monks for their morning chanting. This is a deeply spiritual experience, and the perfect way to welcome in the new day together. You will then be able to visit the famous 45m (147ft) reclining Buddha before heading over to the Grand Palace to explore the thrones halls, museum and temple while your guide explains the important relationship Thai people have with their Royal Family.
Fly over the border to Northern Cambodia, landing in Siem Reap- home to the fascinating abandoned temple complex of Angkor. There is so much to see, from the famous Angkor Wat to the eerie faces of Bayon and ‘Tomb Raider’ temple of Ta Prohm. Hand in hand, explore the crumbling ruins of forgotten temples, almost entirely consumed by tree roots. We recommend a full day of temple touring, starting early in the morning at the lesser known temples so as to get away from the crowds. Your knowledgeable guide will be able to escort you to each site during its least busy time, so relax and enjoy soaking up the unique atmosphere surrounding the last remnants of this lost civilisation, stopping for breakfast among the stones. In the afternoon you will be able to visit the more famous ruins including the ancient capital of Angkor Thom. And of course, no visit to Cambodia is complete without a visit to the iconic Angkor Wat, proudly displayed on their nation’s flag. Your guide will be able to ensure you are positioned for the perfect view, to witness the gorgeous site of the sun rising over the temple and the colours seeping into the calm reflecting pools that surround it. There is much to see and do in Siem Reap, from trendy boutiques to colourful markets and lively eateries, but we also recommend taking a day to get away from it all and explore Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia’s largest lake. On board your private vessel, you can explore the flooded landscape and visit a traditional floating village. Enjoy a delicious meal together, taking in the total silence and watching out for local birds and wildlife.
From Siem Reap, you would fly back to Thailand, to the beautiful west coast for some time to relax on Phuket, a pristine island which offers the perfect combination of relaxation and excitement. There are a range of delightful beachside properties to suit all tastes. We have recommended the Surin here, a stunning resort nestled away from the crowds in the exclusive Surin Beach area on the west coast of Phuket. Nearby you can enjoy the natural jungle scenery in the centre of the island, head out to Patong for some nightlife and shopping, or simply relax in the spa and on the beach, spending some true quality time together to reflect on your adventures before its time to head home.
Experience the majesty of Angkor Wat with a short sunrise tour, the best time to visit this ancient monument and one of Southeast Asia's most important archaeological sites.
This is one of our favourite half-day experiences from Siem Reap; with specialist guides you'll avoid the crowds and head off by foot into the jungle temples before anyone else.
Spend half a day exploring two of Bangkok's most iconic sites; the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Accompanied by your own English-speaking guide, you will learn more about Buddhism in Thailand as well as the country's much loved Royal Family.
This fantastic tour is geared around avoiding the crowds, getting you to Ta Prohm, Ta Nei and Ta Keo at the quietest time of day. Ensconced in jungle, these temples are ideal for adventurous families and couples wanting an Indiana Jones experience!
Experience the Tonle Sap in style! Our wonderful wooden boat, Ella, has been designed from scratch to experience the wildlife and absorb the unique floating villages on the margins of the lake.
