Disconnect completely with a stay at Denali Backcountry Lodge in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. This is prime bear-viewing country and the perfect destination for hiking, biking and outdoor adventure in the revered Denali National Park.
Experience the natural beauty of Denali National Park with a stay at the remote Denali Backcountry Lodge, located at the end of the Denali Park Road and surrounded by prime adventure territory with vast swathes of mountains as a backdrop and nothing but Alaskan wilderness to explore. Spruce forest envelopes the lodge and its rustic cabins which provide a charming retreat from which to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The remote location means that there is no internet and no phone signal, inviting guests to completely switch off and to focus on the nature that surrounds.
The lodge itself is made up of a main building with a spacious lounge and dining area, as well as 42 individual cabins which are heated and appointed with comfortable furniture and cosy bedding to ensure a great night's sleep. For relaxation there is also The Nest, a fantastic spa and wellness centre which promotes relaxation and offers a range of pampering treatments and an activity programme to include yoga. Dining at Denali Backcountry Lodge is family-style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and providing an opportunity to share stories of your Alaskan adventures with fellow travellers. Alaskan produce features heavily on the menu and dishes include traditional American fare and homely comforting food with an Alaskan twist.
Guests to the lodge will not be short of things to do; surrounding the lodge, Denali National Park is an extensive area of extreme natural beauty and the nearby town of Kantishna is culturally fascinating with its old mining history. Explore the numerous hiking trails nearby, either independently or with a guide, get your adrenaline fix with a spot of mountain biking, try your hand at fly-fishing, take a local history tour around Kantishna or simply relax down by picturesque Wonder Lake and soak in the views to the surrounding mountains.
Accommodation at Denali Backcountry Lodge is rustic but very charming and provides all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay in the Alaskan wilderness.
