Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The best time to visit Laos, Cambodia and the west coast of Thailand is from November to May. This is when the weather is driest and you can get the most out of the amazing temples and beautiful countryside. November to December is a particularly good time to visit as it is very green after the rainy season.

Insider's View

I really recommend having breakfast at Amansara's private and restored Khmer House. It's completely unique and gives you a taste of truly local cuisine.

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang in Laos, arguably the most picturesque town in Asia with sparkling temples and old colonial merchant's houses. Venture to Cambodia to explore the cultural wonders and crumbling ruins of Angkor and luxuriate on the idyllic beaches of Phuket in Thailand on this ten-night journey exploring Asia with the beautiful Aman resorts.

  1. Days 1-4: Luang Prabang

Your journey begins with three nights at Amantaka, a glorious property housed in a collection of colonial buildings right in the heart of Luang Prabang. The property is perfectly located within walking distance of the centre of town, home to pretty boutiques, cafes and restaurants as well as the colourful night market. Your stay will include daily half board as well as house beverages and a selection of complimentary daily activities. Enjoy a guided walking tour around the scenic town centre, peeping into temple courtyards, and passing saffron-clad monks in the street. We wholeheartedly suggest visiting Laos’ most famous waterfall, the beautiful and impossibly blue Kuang Si falls, just a short drive from the town, also home to a sanctuary for rescued native Sun Bears.

    Accommodation: Amantaka (3 nights)

  2. Days 4-7: Siem Reap & Angkor Wat

From here the journey heads to Siem Reap in Cambodia via a short flight, home to the incredible temples of Angkor, most famously Angkor Wat. There is so much to see in and around the temples and a private guide will be on hand to accompany you. Spend three nights at Amansara, the former guesthouse of King Norodom Sihanouk and your stay will include daily half board as well as house beverages, a daily cheese selection, freshly baked cakes and cookies. You'll also get VIP airport visa and immigration assistance on arrival. Experiences are also included here so you can enjoy twice daily sightseeing tours of the Angkor temples in an Amansara remork (Cambodian tuk tuk) with your private guide.

    Accommodation: Amansara (3 nights)

  3. Days 7-11: Phuket

Your final stop in Asia is a quick flight to Phuket in Thailand, where you can simply unwind on the tropical Thai beaches and soak up the sunshine. Your four-night stay will be at the luxurious Amanpuri, which is dramatically set on a headland on Phuket's west coast and is nestled in a shady coconut plantation overlooking the dazzling Andaman Sea. Enjoy the incredible spa, relax on the beautiful beach or simply soak up the sunshine by the pool, all the while enjoying the spectacular Aman service that you will have now become accustomed to!

    Accommodation: Amanpuri (4 nights)
