With a fabulous winter ice bar, private hot springs and wonderful location at the foot of Mount Asahidake, La Vista is the ideal place to ski and explore the Daisetsuzan Mountains, the highest range in Hokkaido.

Located close to the Yukomabetsu River at the foot of Mount Asahidake, La Vista is full of cosy alpine charm and hospitality set amid the Daisetsuzan Mountains. This is a great area for skiing and discovering Hokkaido’s scenic highest mountain range. During the winter months, have a drink at the atmospheric ice bar (the hotel provides insulating jackets), before warming up with a hot spring bath in the indoor and outdoor onsen. This is a delightful hotel with a rustic and slightly retro European ski lodge vibe. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Asahikawa Station, around 60-minutes away as well as Asahikawa Airport, which is 40-minutes by car.
There are various room categories and triple rooms are available for families and group travel. Expect high ceilings, wood accents and a cosy ambience. Some rooms feature an open brick fireplace. Amenities include en-suite bathroom, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, safe, fridge, kettle and tea set, Japanese-style robes and socks. To ensure a good night’s sleep there is also a pillow menu with 10 different options available.
There are two restaurants, a bar and tea lounge. Nonno serves set-course French cuisine, while for a more authentic dining experience, Nupuri serves teppanyaki dishes. Free coffee and ice cream is served in the lounge, along with late-night noodle soup and during the winter months, guests can experience the wonderful chill of the ice bar. La Vista has both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths available for single sex bathing. For those wishing to bathe with a partner or family, three private onsen are also available to book. A popular area for skiing, this area is also great for climbing, trekking, fishing as well as horse-riding and La Vista makes a superb and friendly base for exploring.

Families and large groups can choose from a range of various-sized and flexible accommodation. The rooms are European in style with lots of warm wood and some feature an open brick fireplace. The vibe is retro ski-lodge and wonderfully cosy. Amenities include en-suite bathroom, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, safe, fridge, kettle and tea set, Japanese-style robes and socks, along with an extensive pillow menu.


While children are welcome there are no specific facilities or childcare available.


Fed by natural hot spring water from Mount Daisetsu there are indoor and outdoor baths available on a single sex basis, as well as a sauna. For family bathing, there are three private baths. With two restaurants guests can choose from French cuisine at Dining Nonno or Japanese teppanyaki at Nupuri. During the cold winter months, there is a spectacular ice bar to enjoy. There is also a tea lounge, midnight snack corner and ski-wear rental shop.


This is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts who can enjoy skiing during the winter, along with climbing, trekking, fishing and horse-riding throughout the year, before taking a relaxing hot spring bath.
