Description
Aya Niseko is a ski-in ski-out hotel offering luxury apartments, residences and penthouses on the slopes of Grand Hirafu Resort. It features a kids club for little ones and incredible views to enjoy as you soak in the traditional hot spring onsens.
Built in December 2016 the Aya Niseko is a relatively new hotel in Niseko with direct access to the lifts and slopes. The word 'Aya' refers to a Japanese weaving technique and this weave design is a flowing theme throughout the hotel. The accommodation offers a range of luxurious comforts such as under floor heating and high-tech entertainment systems and staff are on-call 24 hours a day. There is a choice of accommodation from a studio up to three bedroom apartments as well as penthouses and residences. Guests will love the floor to ceiling windows which give a feeling of bringing the outside in and making the most of the sweeping views over Mount Yotei, Grand Hirafu Resort and the National Park Forest.
The Aya Niseko offers a kids club for ages 12 months to six years, which is great for families as the adults can have some ski time to themselves while knowing that the kids are cared for.
After a hard day's skiing relax in the one of the men's or women's onsens or book one of the three private family onsens. Those looking for some pampering will find it in the Aya Spa with face and body massages. The Aya Gym is a fully equipped fitness centre and the are also different types of yoga classes on offer in the yoga studio to balance the mind and body and keep the muscles flexible.
The lift system in Grand Hirafu Resort is being updated with a faster, bigger chairlift right outside the Aya Niseko meaning skiers can access the slopes even quicker and in more comfort. Non-skiing activities in the resort include reindeer sledges, snowmobiling, horse rides, snow rafting and snow shoeing.

Activities
The Aya Niseko has excellent access to the slopes with its ski-in / ski-out location next to the lifts for the Grand Hirafu ski resort.
The resort of Niseko is made up of four ski areas – Annupuri, Niseko Village, Hirafu and Hanazono which are interlinked and covered on one ski pass. The lift system is a little more antiquated than other international resorts it's the backcountry that people really come here for, with the majority of skiers opting to take a guide. Although the lift nearest to Aya Niseko is being upgraded to a faster, bigger and more efficient system in the 2017/18 season.
There are plenty of other activities on offer which mainly centre around the snow, including deep powder cat skiing, snowbiking, reindeer sledges, snowmobiling, horse rides, snow rafting and snow shoeing.
Reviews
Anna Chaplin (Staff)
Being one of the newer hotels on offer in Niseko, Aya provides a very contemporary and refined retreat with everything you need for your stay in Niseko making your stay hassle-free. Located next to a chairlift and right in the centre of Grand Hirafu, Aya is an ideal choice for both families and couples. The rooms are all very modern and clean lined and generously sized.
