Discover the highlights of the Amalfi Coast, from the historical sites in and around Naples to the glamorous island of Capri. Get to know the history, culture and cuisine of southern Italy as you explore this stunning stretch of coastline.

  1. Fly to Naples

  2. Days 1-3: Naples, Italy

Begin your journey through Italy in Naples, the capital of the south, home to a charming collection of grand buildings, Baroque architecture and world-class museums. Spend your time here exploring the historic city centre, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its elegant palaces and ancient monuments. Visit the Cappella Sansevero, home to Giuseppe Sanmartino’s magnificent Veiled Christ sculpture, or head underground to discover Naples’ subterranean city, where ancient ruins, catacombs and secret passages lie 40 metres under the city streets.

During your time in Naples, you’ll also have the chance to visit the infamous Mt Vesuvius, mainland Europe’s only active volcano. Enjoy the hike to the top of the crater, at 1281 metres, and take in the incredible views across Naples and the coast. You’ll also witness the devastation caused by Vesuvius at Pompeii, which was buried under ash in 79 AD. Here you’ll walk through the ancient city streets and explore Roman houses perfectly preserved by the eruption.

Accommodation: Grand Hotel Vesuvio (2 nights)

  3. Days 3-7: Amalfi Coast

Continue south to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, where you’ll spend four nights in bustling Positano. Perched on the cliffside, this dramatic town boasts colourful buildings and vibrant streets alongside its incredible sea views. Spend your time here exploring the picturesque towns dotted along the coastline, from buzzing Amalfi to charming Ravello, home to some of the best views on the Amalfi Coast.

Explore the magnificent scenery of the Amalfi Coast from the Path of the Gods, a truly incredible walk offering breathtaking views of the towns and coastline below. Join your private guide as you discover this area of spectacular natural beauty, believed to be the Gods’ entry point to earth.

    Accommodation: Villa Franca (4 nights)

  4. Days 7-9: Capri, Italy

For your last stop, head across the Gulf of Naples to the beautiful and glamorous island of Capri, where you’ll spend your final two nights in Italy. Explore the bustling Capri Town and picturesque Anacapri, where you can take the chairlift to the top of Monte Solaro to admire the breathtaking views across the island towards the Amalfi Coast.

Discover Capri from the water, taking a boat to explore the island’s stunning coastline. On board you’ll have the chance to visit the famed Blue Grotto, where the water shines a bright azure blue as sunlight passes through the cave, and admire the Faraglioni sea stacks located off Capri’s southern coast.

Accommodation: Capri Tiberio Palace (2 nights)
