Description
An architecturally stunning hotel, the 5* Alpina Dolomites enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the Alpe di Siusi. Right on the slopes it offers direct access to the Sella Ronda and some of the finest skiing in Italy's South Tyrol.
Set on Europe's largest high-altitude plateau, in an UNESCO World Heritage Site and commanding extraordinary views, is the Alpina Dolomites. Its location right on the slopes of the Dolomiti Superski circuit - the longest in the Alps, gives guests of all levels immediate access to some of Europe's finest skiing. Built with an exacting eco brief, it is inspired by nature, using stone, wood and glass to stunning effect, whilst the custom furnished interiors remain welcoming and cosy. The sense of space here is overwhelming, and coupled with incredible service and warm hospitality and a focus on wellbeing, it's a truly exceptional place to stay.
South facing, with views across the jagged peaks, the main lodge houses the panoramic restaurant and a selection of rooms and suites, and is connected to the striking circular "chalet" by an underground passage, featuring the remaining suites. The perfect Bond location! The Mountain Restaurant and Stuben uses local and seasonal produce, creating a delicious fine dining experience, whilst the Mountain Lounge Bar serves very good lighter meals.
The Spa at the hotel is highly recommended, not only having fabulous facilities from a Finnish sauna to a bio-herb sauna and a salt bath to an aroma bath, but the views from the relaxation areas are breathtaking. Relax in the heated outdoor pool, watching the "enrosadira" - the changing colours of the mountains as the sun rises and sets, or take advantage of the de-stressing Ayurvedic massages after a day on the slopes. And life for skiers is made extremely easy with ski rental on site and the ski school right next door.
In the heart of the Alpe di Siusi, Alpina Dolomites is superbly located for skiing the famous Sella Ronda circuit and exploring the Dolomiti Superski - some of the best terrain in the Alps. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, there is also plenty to keep the most expert of skiers happy. The region has an excellent snow record, slopes for all abilities and a modern lift infrastructure. Together with the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings and innumerable good value mountain restaurants serving exceptional quality food, it's hard to beat.

Reviews

The Alpina Dolomites is an ultra modern alpine retreat in a beautiful setting, with incredible views of the dolomites. The hotel is very spacious with a large lounge and terrace, the perfect place to relax in the sun during the day or for a drink before dinner. The architecture of the property is quite striking and not to everyone's taste, but the friendly service and warm atmosphere make this modern hotel into a relaxing retreat. My favourite area was definitely the Spa with a fantastic indoor-outdoor pool.

Alpina Dolomites really is one of those wow factor properties, with stunning views over the Alpe di Siusi plateau.
The spa is one of the most magical spots with sunset views of the majestic jagged peaks. As a big spa fan I was so impressed with the range of facilities. Taking in the views from the outdoor jacuzzi was the highlight.
The generous sized bedrooms and suites are all village and mountain facing so all guests will be able to take in the wonderful views.
The dining was nothing short of spectacular, they offer a huge selection of natural bio and local products at breakfast. In the afternoon the hotel offers aperitivos, a perfect accompaniment for an apres ski or hike drink. For dinner the half board basis includes a five course dinner with a selection of dishes for each course. If you fancy something lighter then there is a wonderful salad buffet which you can have in addition to your meal with plenty of fresh and regional additions.
For advanced skiers the Alpe di Suisi ski area will feel less challenging than some of the surrounding areas however you can easily access the Sella Ronda ski circuit by transferring through Val Gardena. From there you will join the heart of the Dolomiti Superski and be able to ski the Sella Ronda area or full circuit route before heading back over to Alpe di Suisi.
Overall Alpina Dolomites is one of my favourite alpine hotels for its hospitable service, gourmet dining and wow factor wellness facilities.

Think James Bond and you are at the Alpina Dolomites. The outside of the hotel is striking and very modern, which certainly continues on the inside. The lounge, reception, spa and dining areas are extremely spacious and ultra-modern. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a hot towel and a local refreshing tea. Come afternoon, the hotel lays out an impressive aperitif spread of cakes and sandwiches.
If youre into your spas, the Alpina Dolomites wont disappoint. Starting with the outdoor pool with stunning views, there are several different sauna and steam rooms, as well as a rather impressive large room with water beds for the ultimate relaxation.
For the ultimate convenience, there is an in-house hire shop with brand new state of the art equipment for all levels, and the ski school conveniently meet just outside the hotel.
Food wise the hotel offers 2 options on the half board menu, expect gourmet dinners with an impressive cheese table to choose from after dinner.
