High season is generally December to April when it's warm and humid. The coastal location ensures that temperatures rarely exceed 30°C and generally do not fall below 13°C (night-time in July). Even in winter (June-September), when rates are lower, daytime temperatures usually reach 21°C. This can be a lovely time to visit as it is warm in the day, cooler at night and drier. Rainfall is a possibility throughout the year, but the peak summer months of January and February often experience heavier showers. Christmas, New Year, January, Carnival, Easter and Paraty's International Literary Festival (normally held in July) are high season and hotels will be busy.

Fasano Angra dos Reis boasts a prime location on Brazil's Emerald Coast, surrounded by the lush Atlantic Forest. This exclusive resort has everything to entice jet setters for a stylish coastal escape, with a beautiful beachfront and turquoise waters.
One of the first luxury hotels to open on this stretch of Brazil's Emerald Coast, Fasano Angra dos Reis affords all-out luxury in the upscale area of Angra dos Reis, which is just a short drive from Rio de Janeiro and the colonial coastal town of Paraty.
Arrive in style, opting to dock at the marina or touch-down on the heli-pad of this exclusive resort. Book-ended by the crystal clear waters of Angra dos Reis and the lush rolling hills of the Atlantic Forest, the setting alone is enough to take your breath away and is a firm favourite amongst the Brazilian jet set. The architecture of the property is low-rise to ensure that it doesn't detract from the views.
Fasano Angra dos Reis has just 60 spacious suites, all with partial or full ocean views, as well as all the facilities that you could need for comfort, relaxation and entertainment, including its own marina, spa, oceanfront pools, golf course, shopping centre, bar exclusive to guests and two restaurants.
The Fasano Angra dos Reis boasts 60 rooms and suites, all of which boast ocean views, although some are slightly obstructed. Rooms are all spacious and offer a private balcony to maximise the views.
Facilities at the Fasano Angra dos Reis include two oceanfront swimming pools, a fitness centre, spa, beauty salon and 18-hole golf course. There are two Italian restaurants on site too, celebrating the Fasano brand's Italian heritage.
The hotel is surrounded by rainforest where guests are invited to explore the trails and discover a hidden waterfall, either by foot, bike or golf cart. The beach at the property is not a huge focus so for those in search of some time on one of Brazil's more idyllic beaches, we recommend taking a boat trip to one of the many islands off the coast which boast beautiful stretches of sand and in some cases, wonderful snorkelling opportunities.
