Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – dry (between May to September) and wet (between October to April) – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. In most parts of Indonesia, the wet season falls between October and April and the dry season between May and September. December and January see Bali at its most humid and rain tends to come in sudden tropical downpours, but it can also rain for more prolonged periods.

Itinerary

Indulge in the ultimate privacy of relaxing by your own private pool whilst looking out at beautiful views. Begin in the lush, jungle heart of Bali before travelling to the coast to enjoy the bars, boutiques and surf of Seminyak.

  1. Days 1-5: Ubud

    Known as the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud is a beautiful town full of colourful markets and antique shops and is a wonderful place to explore as a couple. Spend your time in Ubud wandering through the bustling markets, explore surrounding villages by bicycle or simply relaxing in your accommodation admiring the lush dramatic slopes that surround Ubud. During your time in Ubud we have included a tour of central Bali where you will venture off the beaten path exploring some of the islands most attractive temples including the superb complex at Taman Ayun before visiting a local market renowned for its fresh fruits and exotic spices.

  2. Days 5-13: Seminyak

    After relaxing and soaking up the rich and vibrant culture in Ubud, head to the sea and the beautiful beachside resort of Seminyak. Known for its bustling atmosphere, Seminyak plays host to plenty of stylish boutiques and restaurants for you to explore, or simply relax and enjoy the facilities provided at your luxury hotel. From your base in Seminyak we have included a gourmet food tour with a leading Balinese chef during which you will travel throughout the nearby region learning about Balinese cuisine and sampling a variety of the regions local delicacies along the way.
