Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – wet and dry – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. Given the different climates throughout the archipelago, the vessel is able to operate different expeditions at different times of year. Reminiscent of the old trading ships that once cruised the spice routes of the Indonesian islands, Ananda is a luxury Phinisi yacht that sails the tropical waters of Komodo and the lesser Sunda Islands in style.

Discover the golden beaches, remote islands and infamous Komodo dragons of the Indonesian archipelago on board the luxury Phinisi yacht, Ananda. Having undergone a recent refurbishment, this three-bedroom wooden vessel built in the style of the traditional trading ships of old is perfect for families or small groups wishing to explore in style. Sailing the lesser-known reaches of this stunning island chain, expeditions on board Ananda venture to Komodo, the Gili Islands, Flores and the famous waters of Sulawesi on a variety of tailor-made itineraries.
The main deck is fitted with a cosy lounge area, covered in cushions, a covered salon for dining, a bar and plenty of space to spread out and soak up the stunning views. The large wooden table is the hub of the main deck and where the chef serves up three delicious meals a day, created using freshly caught fish and seafood and exotic fruits and vegetables. As the sun goes down, take advantage of the boat’s integrated sound system and on-board bar, sipping cocktails under a blanket of stars.
The Ananda’s aluminium tender is specifically designed for shore excursions to the remote beaches, local villages, hidden coves and to encounter the infamous Komodo dragons. It also doubles as a dive boat, taking keen divers and snorkelers to some of the most pristine marine environments found anywhere in the world. Dive expeditions are launched from the Ananda’s dedicated dive deck, home to a variety of dive gear to suit all experience levels. Along with dive and snorkel trips, the Ananda is equipped with a wake board, fishing gear, waterskis and inflatables to allow everyone on board to get out and enjoy the water between shore excursions.
