Akagera National Park's incredible transformation first began eight years ago, since then the reintroduction of lion and black rhino has been ground breaking for the conservation world. Magashi Camp is based in this 10,000 hectare national park and is at the forefront of repopulating this magnificent wilderness with the abundance of wildlife that once resounded here. Arguably one of the most scenic parks in East Africa, Akagera National Park hosts a variety of different habitats from rolling open plains, lakes, swamps, and grassy low mountains.

This brand new camp will be nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Rwanyakazinga, home to one Africa's highest hippo and crocodile populations, and the elusive stitatunga and shoebill stalk.
