Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Val d'Isère boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world because, unlike other resorts above 1800m, 80% of the skiing happens above 2000 metres. As a result, early and late season offer reliable great conditions. Being high, it is cold though and we think March and April are the best times to visit Val.

Description

This ski-in, ski-out property is a new 5* addition on the Place de Neige at the heart of Val d’Isere, boasting a fabulous Guerlain spa, superb restaurants, residence apartments and even a private cinema.

Lying at the base of the ski slopes, Airelles Mademoiselle Val d’Isere is a grand hotel, inspired by medieval architecture yet blending smoothly into the surrounds. With 41 Rooms, Suites and Penthouses, four restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, luxurious spa, magical Children’s Kingdom, a 70sq.m cinema and three upmarket boutiques, it is a sumptuous ski resort offering everything you could need, and more.

The grey stone walls, wooden beams and shale roof of the Mademoiselle reveal an interior of almost regal grandeur, with wrought wooden staircases, beamed ceilings, brocade furnishings and luxurious fabrics. From the Deluxe Room through to the Family Suites and the Four-Bedroom Penthouse, the accommodation is cosy yet refined, rooted in the present but with a thoughtful nod to the past. Complimentary wifi, Apple TV and an iPad keep you connected, while wooden floors, rugs and antique-style furniture add a dash of alpine character.

Despite its location in the Place de Neige, surrounded by the life and conviviality of the bustling bars and restaurants of Val d’Isere’s social heart, Airelles boasts its own superb drinking and dining options. Soak in the sun over a long lunch on the Terrace with its spectacular mountain views, or have an evening of indulgence with raclette or fondue at Le Carnotzet. Enjoy refined French cuisine with an extensive wine list at Le VI, while the bar is open all day for an après-ski of fine wines, rare spirits and a tempting Champagne collection.

For weary post-ski muscles, the 1,200 sq.m Guerlain spa is a luxurious retreat with a large pool, dedicated children’s aquatic area, fitness centre, a Hammam, Jacuzzi, sauna and two sensory showers. A number of treatment rooms provide space for both massages and beauty therapies. Three luxury boutiques and a 70sq.m cinema offer entertainment when not on the famed ski slopes, while a ski salon provides the latest equipment to rent or buy.

Childcare

In Val d’Isère we have our exclusive Explorers kids club , which gives our hotel guests the freedom to ski all day, whilst your children have a holiday too. We look after children from as young as four months, with age appropriate activities and a collection service to and from ski school. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can provide babysitting.

Facilities

While its central location allows guests to take full advantage of the lively bars, cafes and upmarket boutiques of Val d’Isere, the hotel boasts a wealth of amenities of its own. Sit back in the private cinema to pass a quiet evening or listen to live music on the Terrace.

Drift away with a well-deserved massage in the spa, enjoy a freshly squeezed juice at the poolside bar, or stroll through the gallery of boutiques featuring iconic brands such as Moncler.

With three dining options for lunch or dinner, offering everything from elegant French cuisine to classic cheeses and mountain specialities, Airelles Mademoiselle is rich in culinary choices, accompanied by fantastic wines, champagnes and premium spirits.

Activities

Val d’Isère is a mecca for downhill skiing for good reason. It has enough to keep skiers of all standards challenged and entertained for a lifetime, let alone a week. The off-piste potential is limitless and the snow record enviable.

Val d'Isère has plenty to offer less enthusiastic skiers too. The Centre Aquasportif has fantastic facilities including 2 swimming pools, climbing wall, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash courts and a Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths and hydro-massage.

Designated walking trails are a great way of appreciating the scenery and there is an ice rink, husky riding, parapenting, skidooing, cross country skiing and much more.

There is a wealth of quality restaurants in the village and on the mountain (many of which are accessible to non skiers). The shops and galleries offer some great shopping (both the window and the real varieties).
