Whilst most visitors find the penguins the primary draw in terms of Antarctic wildlife, the marine life includes numerous species of seal and whale. Species include humpback whales, orcas, elephant and leopard seals, and Antarctic fur seals.
Of course, sightings can't ever be guaranteed, particularly for more rare species such as orcas, but humpback and minke whales are more commonly sighted and seals are fairly commonplace, whether on shore or perched on an ice floe. The seals vary from the attractive Weddell species to the aggressive and formidable leopard seal.
