Travel like a local
Chau Doc, Vietnam
Travel along the Chau Doc River in a small motorboat providing the chance to observe the local way of life on the river's edge alongside a visit to a Muslim Cham village.
Spend a few hours traveling like a local along the Mekong River on a motor boat. Discover Chau Doc river life through visits to floating fish farms and local houses. Your boat journey continues to a Muslim Cham village; the Cham are remnants of the Kingdom of Champa, an empire that used to stretch from Hue to provinces on the Southern Mekong Delta from the 7th to 18th century. They now form an important ethnic group in The Mekong Delta. The area is understandably modernising, however, you can still see the traditional Cham stilt houses as well as a mosque.
