Get stuck in as you experience a mouthwatering Argentine asado, a traditional weekend activity for locals. Learn to pick the freshest ingredients and prepare the meat using the authentic techniques which are used to create that famously delicious steak.
Accompanied by a local guide you will wander the cobbled streets of the pretty Palermo Viejo neighbourhood, selecting your ingredients from the local butcher, vegetable stand, bakery and wine store as you go.
Once your shopping bags are filled, you will head to a large private home where you will help to prepare the asado as traditional local families do on a weekly basis. Learn the art of building the fire with charcoal and wood before preparing the meat and salad. Your guide will continue to teach you about the neighbourhood before you tuck into the dishes you have created! Accompanied by a master parrillero (local grill master) this makes for a wonderfully authentic experience and is an enjoyable way to sample some of Argentina's most revered dishes.
