Climb to the top of Le Morne Brabant
South West Coast, Mauritius
Le Morne Brabant was included as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. Trek to the top of the rock with an expert guide for incredible views over Mauritius and beyond. An appetite for adventure and a good level of fitness is required!
Meet Yann, your French Mauritian bionic guide, at 6am to start the two and a half hour hike before the heat of the midday. Starting with a gentle incline, the climb soon gets steeper and the views become more spectacular the higher you reach. The highest point is 515 meters via a sheer rock face scrabble for the final 10-minutes assisted by a rope.
The views do not disappoint with vistas over the whole of Mauritius and beyond and the incredible colors of the ocean and the reef surrounded the island.
This is a work-out so a reasonable level of fitness is required. This is not recommended for anyone with a fear of heights or children.
