The Cairngorms is the largest National Park in the United Kingdom and home to a quarter of Scotland's native forest, a third of the UK's land above 600 meters and a quarter of the rare and endangered species in the British Isles.
The landscape of the Cairngorms is a picturesque mixture of high mountain peaks, lochs and rivers surrounded by lush woodland. The rare and endangered species who make their home in the Park include capercaillie, pine marten, osprey, Scottish wildcat, golden eagle, red squirrel, snow bunting, lapwing, crested tit, dotterel and black grouse.
