Bean to Bar at Boucan is a unique opportunity for guests to create their own chocolate from the cacao grown on the Rabot Estate. Taking in the whole of the estate from the cocoa groves to the original plantation house where you will make your own bar.
Your experience will start with a walk through the cocoa groves of the Rabot Estate, Saint Lucia's oldest plantation, where you will select ripe cacao pods and cut them from the tree. You will learn about the whole process of chocolate making, visiting the seedling nursery, fermenting room and sun-drying station as well as getting the opportunity to grind and mix the cacao as you return to the veranda of the original plantation house to craft your own chocolate bars and truffles from beans that you will have roasted yourself. A fascinating insight into the process of making chocolate, with plenty of tasting throughout!
