Eco-Omo Safari Lodge is set in lush gardens, making use of traditional materials to blend into the surrounding natural environment. Located in the heart of the Omo Valley, it’s just a short distance from Mago National Park, on the outskirts of Jinka.
With only 20 safari tents, the lodge is intimate and simple in style. Each of the thatched accommodations is set on a wooden platform with a four-poster bed and traditional furniture. This rustic lodge has sustainability at is core, turning home-grown fruit and vegetables into delicious dishes. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, drawing on Italian influences to create fresh food using ingredients from its gardens.
There is also an onsite coffee plantation and you can enjoy a freshly-ground cup of coffee on the bar’s al fresco terrace overlooking the Neri River, a tranquil spot to relax after a day’s exploring. The lodge is also well located for visiting local tribes and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konso.
