Mauritius is undoubtably known for its wonderful sandy beaches and reef which surrounds the whole island, with many hotels hugging the beautiful coastline.

But if you head to eastern Mauritius you will find that our hotels are offering something a little different. Take Four Seasons Anahita and Anahita Golf Resort & Spa, each have their own secluded beaches tucked away on neighbouring islands which really make you feel like you are holidaying in the tropics. From locally caught grilled fish, to beachside restaurants and private cabanas, each hotel’s private stretch of island will be a highlight to your stay.
On a recent visit to Shangri-La Le Touessrok, we were whisked off to the island of Ilot Mangenie. We spent just 10-minutes jetting across crystal-clear waters and upon arrival were greeted with a refreshing towel, cooling spray and our sunglasses were even polished! It was quite an arrival. We spent the afternoon enjoying their famous truffle pizza with a bottle of chilled rose, before retiring to our sun loungers with a good book and the chance to catch an afternoon snooze.
On the neighbouring island of Ile Aux Cerfs, where Four Seasons and Anahita have set up their island paradise, you will also find an 18-hole golf course, each hole offering breath-taking views of the ocean. Not only that, but the golf here is also complimentary to guests staying at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Four Seasons Anahita and Anahita Golf Resort & Spa* and a boat is certainly a glamorous alternative to a golf buggy!
*Please note, there are some exceptions where golf at Ile Aux Cerfs is not included.
With complimentary boat shuttles running from the hotels every 20-30 minutes throughout the day, each beach and the golf course is very accessible for a quick visit or a full day away from the hotel and a chance to experience something a little more unique!
