The hotel is spread out over a number of different buildings, providing a various accommodation options from spacious family-friendly log cabins, to glass-roofed aurora cabins for watching the night’s sky and panorama chalets to gaze out over the frozen lake.

The main building hosts the reception, restaurant and bar area. Surrounded by panoramic, floor-to-ceiling windows all meals are accompanied by breath-taking, uninterrupted views of the endless frozen lake, where you may spot the occasional cross-country skier or snowmobile whizzing across. Food is served either buffet-style, or you can opt for an a-la-carte option with a range of mouth-watering dishes from king crab to warming soups and steaming vegetables.    

The vast, frozen lake offers the perfect playground to enjoy a plethora of winter activities here, and Wilderness Hotel Inari has plenty on offer, all of which are enjoyed as part of a small group. There are a number of activities you can do directly from the hotel with snowmobiles available to jet out on guided tours, snowshoes, cross-country skis, ice fishing and a range of different Northern Lights excursions including heated sleighs. A little further from the hotel you can also go husky sledding, visit a local reindeer farm or even have a private meeting with Father Christmas. The list of options available is endless, ensuring you go to bed night with full bellies, rosy cheeks and weary limbs!

After experiencing the joys of the fresh, wintery air the perfect way to warm up is in traditional Finnish style in the warmth of a sauna. The spacious log cabins and chalets have their very own for you to enjoy, otherwise you can have a private session in the aurora-cabin style sauna, with fantastic views over the lake.
