This is a year-round itinerary, but temperatures are lower in Argentina during the winter months (June to September). If travelling over Christmas/New Year or over Carnival, be sure to book as far in advance as possible, as space at this time is severely restricted.
We design each itinerary around you, so this suggested itinerary is a starting point that we can tweak or transform into something completely bespoke to you. Call us on 020 3993 9308 to start planning your holiday.
Itinerary
Travel from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro, stopping along the way to take in a traditional Argentine estancia for some world-class horseback riding, before discovering the breathtaking Iguazu Falls. Stay in style in some of the most luxurious properties throughout for a truly indulgent trip.

Fly to Buenos Aires
-
Days 1-4: Buenos Aires
Begin in Buenos Aires with three nights at the Palacio Duhau, one of Buenos Aires’ top hotels ideally located in Recoleta and within easy walking distance of some of the capital’s best shops and restaurants. While here, take in a tango show at one of the city’s top spots, explore the city with a private guide to see the highlights and enjoy a wine tasting which can be designed to cater to your specific tastes and favourite grapes.
Accommodation: Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires (3 nights)
-
Days 4-7: Cordoba
Next take the short flight to Cordoba to stay at one of the country’s premier estancias, Estancia El Colibri. This superbly run family-friendly estancia located in beautiful countryside has something for everyone - horse riding, polo clinics, walks and mountain bikes for the active, nearby Jesuit missions, cookery classes and helping the gauchos for the more culturally inclined, and superb bird watching and relaxing by the pool for those who don’t want to do very much at all.
Accommodation: Estancia El Colibri (3 nights)
-
Days 7-9: Iguazu Falls
Then fly up to the Iguassu Falls to experience this incredible natural wonder, set among the rainforest on the Argentine/Brazilian border. Explore the pathways through the rainforest which bring you close to the roaring water, close enough to feel the spray. Unwind at the stunning Awasi Iguazu in a private villa with your own plunge pool, immersed in the jungle. With access to your own private guide and an extensive excursion menu, you can easily do as little or as much as you like during your stay here.
Accommodation: Awasi Iguazu (2 nights)
-
Days 9-12: Rio de Janeiro
Finish in style with three nights at the Fasano Rio de Janeiro, located on Ipanema beach. Rio is great fun for all ages, and children will love the incredible beaches, the buzz of Lapa's street market, exploring the Tijuca rainforest and taking a ride up the Sugar Loaf in a cable car, James Bond-style. A city tour has been included to enjoy the key sites with a private guide, as well as a helicopter flight over Rio’s impressive skyline.
Accommodation: Fasano Rio de Janeiro (3 nights)
