This wonderful morning experience takes you to a local elephant sanctuary just 40 minutes from Luang Prabang. You'll learn all about the majestic creatures and will feed and walk with them along tropical paths and through rice paddies.
This morning experience is a highlight for anyone wanting to learn more about elephants in Southeast Asia. Your morning will start with a transfer just 40 minutes from Luang Prabang, to a brilliantly run elephant sanctuary, Manda Lao. This conscious and considered charity is dedicated to protecting young and retired elephants whilst providing visitors with a rich understanding on the creatures and their history in Laos. There is no riding here, just quality time spent with these wonderful animals, which we love.
You will spend your morning learning about the creatures before feeding and walking with them along creeks and paths and through local paddy fields. Afterwards you'll return back to camp for a tasty lunch overlooking the Nam Khan River.
Please note, the transfer and tour may be shared with other guests.
