We will visit the Brandy Factory of Yerevan with tasting of three types of Armenian cognac, including the 20-year-old Nairi cognac and 10-year-old Dvin cognac.
Brandy production is a huge industry in Armenia, tracing back to as early as the 12th century. During the communist period, it is said that a quarter of all the brandy produced in the Soviet Union came from Armenia. The Yerevan Brandy Company was sold to Pernod-Ricard in 1999. Today, Armenian brandy is exported to over 20 countries.
