We're proud to partner with Tusk as the official U.S. tour operator for the annual Safaricom Marathon on June 24th, 2017. Run wild with rhino and giraffe through Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya to raise vital funds for conservation and community programs that protect wildlife.
Run wild for a reason
Africa’s most iconic species, including elephant and rhino, are under threat from poaching and could disappear from the wild in our lifetime. When you take part in the Safaricom Marathon, you help raise vital funds for charity Tusk which is involved in over 50 conservation, community and education programs that provide a lifeline for Africa’s wild animals.
Tusk is a charity that has supported projects close to our hearts at Scott Dunn USA for more than 25 years. It’s raised over $30 million for a raft of successful initiatives that protect 36 endangered species. It also helps to alleviate poverty, reduce people/animal conflict, promote education and create jobs. Since it began, the Safaricom Marathon has raised over $4.2 million for conservation.
Your 13-mile route takes you along dirt track through the heart of Lewa Conservancy across beautiful savannah plains, river banks and acacia woodland. Full marathoners complete two circuits while half marathon runners complete one.
Who can take part?
