Mombo Trails Camp provides visitors to Botswana's Okavango Delta with the opportunity to experience the astounding safari experience of the Mombo Concession while Mombo and Little Mombo Camps being rebuilt offering an unparalleled big game experience.

The concept of Mombo Trails Camp is to enable visitors to enjoy quite possibly Africa's premier big game safari area while Mombo main and Little Mombo Camps are rebuilt over 2017/18. Set just 2km from the sites occupied by the two camps over the past 15 years, Mombo Trails will enjoy the same expansive floodplain and grassland views which are such a feature of Mombo.

Mombo Trails has been designed with a light-footprint, sympathetic to and blending with the environment, the camp will operate during the rebuild of Mombo and Little Mombo, after which it will be packed away leaving no trace.

A grove of huge Jackalberry Trees provide shade for the main area which is split into two tents: bar, dining and lounge areas. The focal point of the communal areas is the camp fire, splitting the two tents and the main gathering point for early morning coffees and evening drinks.

The guest tents themselves are set on low wooden decks, access at ground level to enhance the trails style experience. The interior of the tent covers in excess of 65 square metres, 220v power is provided for charging and fans ward off the heat of the day. At the front of each tent is a lounge from which guests can relax and enjoy the views over the floodplains.

This is a big game area and with this in mind two-way radios are provided in all tents with direct communication to the management and guiding team. Battery operated buggies are also available to transfer guests between their tents and the main areas as required.
