Average time to visit
The best time to visit Ethiopia is from mid to late October until May. During this time the highlands are ideal for hiking especially after the rainy season has just finished as the landscape bursts into life.
Due to the high altitude of the country in comparison to its location conditions get quite cool at night. Temperatures generally can reach above 30°C in lowland areas, whereas the highland temperature can dip below 20°C. Addis Ababa has a relatively even temperature year-round.

Located on the edge of Arba Minch in the fascinating Omo Valley region of Ethiopia, Paradise Lodge boasts fantastic cliff-top views over the twin lakes of Abaya and Chamo and a warm and attentive service in its comfortable thatched bungalows.
Paradise Lodge is located on the edge of the rift valley town of Arba Minch meaning "forty springs" in Amharic due to a local abundance of springs. It is constructed completely by local people using local materials and the design reflects that of traditional Ethiopian homes, each bungalow is thatched and also has a veranda where you can sit outside and soak up the surrounding views. The walls may be rustic exposed brick work but the bed is the perfect contrast of crisp white linen.

The restaurant at the Lodge can seat 400 people and serves a variety of Ethiopian and international cuisine to eat whilst also consuming those stunning views.
