Originally based in Nagaland, in India’s most easterly reaches, the Ultimate Traveling Camp now operates in Ladakh - in the Himalayas - too. Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Sri Lanka

Set on a deserted beach at the frontier of Yala National Park, the Wild Coast Tented Lodge lives up to its name as a true wilderness retreat. Each of the cocoon shaped tents are seamlessly designed to blend into their natural surroundings and furnished to an impeccable standard. Not only is the camp the ideal place to learn about the San people, but also a fantastic base from which to explore the vast and mysterious landscape. Spend the morning hanging out with meerkats or quad biking between remote archaeological sites for a truly unique safari experience of Botswana. The tents themselves are a work of art with furnishings that are a relic of a bygone era. At night, the camp is lit only by the glow of parrafin lamps, adding to the allure of this one-of-a-kind camp.
