Victoria Hogg

Singapore Office

I have always had an enormous passion for travel. This started at a young age, as a result of my mother’s Dutch heritage, where we would frequently drive through Europe to visit family in her home country. However, it wasn’t until I was a young teenager, that my love for the Far East began when I traveled half way across the globe to visit a school friend in Indonesia.

I was totally mesmerized by the culture, which hugely differed from what I was accustomed to growing up in London, and the diverse way of life instantly captured my imagination. I then planned my gap year and was due to spend three months in Nepal teaching English, however, after just two weeks, we had to leave due to political unrest. During my short time in Kathmandu, my school friend and I had made friends with other gap year students and between us we hatched a plan to travel around Asia and South Africa. We took in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia and much of South Africa. We ended the trip with a three month stint in Canada where I gained my ski instructing qualification. After this incredible experience, travel became an integral part of my life, and since joining Scott Dunn in 2010, I have been lucky enough to explore these countries further, as well as sampling the delights of Vietnam, Hong Kong, Laos, China, Burma, Mongolia, Australia and most recently Cambodia. The discoveries I have made and experiences I’ve had are once in a lifetime, and I always enjoy sharing them with our guests.

What my guests have said

"Thank you so much for all your hard work. As you have guessed by now I am a very fussy traveler and you have looked after me brilliantly and of course I'm converted to Scott Dunn - they have the most wonderful and knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to please!!!!"

"Vicky was outstanding, especially in dealing with all our questions about the unrest prior to departure. The overall experience and professionalism was first class from initial enquiry to returning home."

"Alison and Vicky were excellent. Dealing thoroughly with all my questions (there were very many) regarding such a busy trip. There was obviously an awful lot of work that went on behind the scenes to ensure all the accommodation suited our requirements with spare beds in all the right places. Flights were at the right times of the day for checking in and out of hotels and all hotels accommodated us perfectly when we had flights later in the day. In depth understanding of the countries we were visiting, the accommodation we were staying in and the activities we wanted to do teamed with a personal understanding of our families needs ensured this vacation went without a hitch."

"Very efficient. Vacation worked like clockwork. Scott Dunn took away any anxiety making for a very relaxing vacation experience"

"Consistently high standard, good advice and a unique vacation."

"We have been incredibly impressed with Ms Hogg's professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, politeness and interest in our requirements."

"Excellent. Vicky was great. I am particularly grateful for the villa we were given on the island. My partner has a disability and it was really excellent that we could stagger from the villa the 10 feet to the main complex. Many thanks for arranging this with the hotel."

"Vicky was amazing... thank you! As per my email... we both think you helped us with the perfect honeymoon. Looking forward to booking our next vacation with Scott Dunn as a result!"

"Vicky was incredible. So helpful and was always there if we needed her, even during our trip. We are really grateful to her. She had stayed at all the places we went to so we felt secure in the knowledge that we had made the correct choices. We could not recommend her highly enough."

"Vicky was an absolute joy did everything we needed."

"The whole process of booking the vacation was made very easy by Victoria Hogg and dealt with professionally. I would certainly look to use Scott Dunn in the future as a result of having dealt with Victoria."

"I was so impressed with Vicky Hogg, I called a number of travel operators and they were very slow in coming back to me with a quote. Vicky came back super fast, altered and adjusted trip according to our needs and suggested two brilliant hotels. It was booked quickly, efficiently and she even came back on Bank Vacation Monday when I was worrying about a question once the vacation was booked."

"Victoria Hogg is an A1 amazing Travel Consultant and I will always use her."

"Vicky was excellent - very patient in answering all my questions and questions and out frequent changes to the itinerary."

"Victoria Hogg who did all and more than was asked of her and ensured through her diligence that we had a seamless set of experiences."

"We were so very impressed with Scott Dunn and in particular Vicky Hogg. Vicky organized the most wonderful honeymoon using her expertise of Bali and Lombok as well as listening carefully to our needs. Vicky couldn't have been more accommodating in every respect and nothing ever seemed like a hassle. Vicky and her team were extremely impressive when it came to communication and replied very quickly to emails and phone calls. Even during the trip when we enquired about changing plans slightly (due to staying somewhere so blissful that we didn't want to leave!) Vicky couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend Scott Dunn to anyone looking to book a special trip."

Travel nuggets

  • Travelers often forget that the weight restrictions for domestic flights are usually less than the international ones. You’ll always need less than you think, so pack less!

  • Luang Prabang is a spiritual highlight in South East Asia, flooded with the traditional monks in their orange robes. It’s definitely worth getting up before sunrise to offer ‘Alms’ to the monks on their way to morning prayer – an absolute highlight!

  • If you're traveling to the Whitsunday Islands, spoil yourself with a private helicopter trip to Whitehaven Beach – your pilot will land on the most idyllic deserted beach, with a blanket, a bottle of champagne and some canapés – what more could you want!

  • The Great Wall of China is best visited at Mutianyu, which is no-where near as crowded as Badaling where most tourists head.

  • In Siem Reap it is worth an early wake up call to see Angkor Wat at sunrise. Not only is it the perfect time to take a spectacular photo, but you’ll also avoid all the crowds (and the heat). Bliss!

Park Hyatt Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

The most exclusive property in Sydney, with the most fantastic, and most importantly uninterrupted views across to the Opera House, or the ‘white armadillo’ as it is affectionately known.

Wow! From the moment you step through the door you will be in absolute heaven... Relax in your own private villa, overlooking the most sparkling waters of the Whitsunday Islands, and I can assure you, you will never want to leave!
