Sarah Lowe

London Office

My first footsteps in Latin America began with a stint living in Bolivia, which was such an incredible experience and I’ve been lucky enough to have explored Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador & Galapagos, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, Cuba, Guatemala, Belize and Panama since.

As a wildlife and adventure lover, personal highlights would have to include crossing the salt flats from Bolivia into Chile - the wild landscapes were truly breathtaking from cactus-studded deserts to flamingo filled lagoons and the simply awe-inspiring Andes Mountains which never cease to amaze me, snorkeling with playful penguins and sea lions in the Galapagos Islands and galloping through Argentine countryside with the gauchos!

What my guests have said

"We returned to London last night and I just wanted to tell you both what a wonderful, wonderful trip we had! All the hotels were amazing, the tour guides great and the organization of the whole 17 days was perfect. Thank you both so very much for a) outlining and recommending such a fantastic itinerary for us and b) ensuring that every detail was covered. We could not have asked for more."

"Sarah Lowe and the team have been fantastic. I have nothing but praise for her and the team. Excellent! My dream vacation was put together with discussion with Sarah Lowe and the vacation was beyond perfect. I had the time of my life. If you do awards at Scott Dunn I nominate Sarah."

"I am a walking advert for Scott Dunn, recommending to all my friends getting married."

"The UK service was brilliant, exactly what we wanted and needed. What we need isn't always what we think we want - we were a little nervous about the amount of traveling we would be doing on our vacation, but we trusted our consultant. Thank goodness we did as we experienced a vacation that was exactly what we needed, with enough time in each place to make us feel relaxed but moved us around enough to see the sights and make us feel us though we got the most from our vacation. What we saw and did was incredible, I wouldn't change any of it. The benefit of doing a vacation this way is that we didn't feel daunted by the prospect of finding tours or sightseeing opportunities in a foreign coutr

Sarah is very prompt to respond to any requests and is always at the end of the phone or email to assist. The arrangements were all seamless and I feel that Sarah will always consider and offer all available options to the client to ensure that the trip meets their needs."

“We are now safely back home after an incredible time in Brazil. It made all the difference to know that we didn't have to worry about anything and that you had taken care of it all. A huge thank you Sarah for arranging a fantastic itinerary and for making us feel so looked after. We would definitely recommend you guys to people we know.”

"I can’t thank you enough for all your help. You have all been amazing."

"Sarah was brilliant. I actually wish I'd asked more questions… Sarah is clearly well-versed in South America and hit the brief I gave her straight in the bulls-eye. The itinerary was well-crafted, well-balanced and well-received… It felt unique to us - and we loved it. Thank you so much for giving us some incredible memories".

"We got back last night from our trip and just wanted to drop you a note thank you so very very much for organizing such a superb experience for us. We wouldn’t have changed a thing, the accommodation and transportation was all superb and the pace of the vacation was just perfect for us, we still had some time to relax and take it in too. On so many levels I think we both feel it's certainly one of the best, if not the best trip we’ve done. We’re looking forward to returning to South America again in the future."

Travel nuggets

  • Be sure to book a night at one of Buenos Aires' fabulous tango shows. One of our favorites is undoubtedly the Rojo Tango, a passion fuelled cabaret-style performance staged at the effortlessly sexy Faena Hotel & Universe.

  • The Copacabana Palace in Brazil can be seen in several famous movies such as “Flying down Rio”, where the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced for the first time and for its famous guests such as Marlene Dietrich, King George VI and Brigitte Bardot.

  • Londra Bar at the uber slick Fasano in Rio is named after the owner’s favorite city – London. He clearly has impeccable taste and this shows in the funky décor – think cowhide sofas, distressed brick, mood lighting and carefully placed Union Jacks.

My hot picks

Hotel Esencia, Xpu-ha, Riviera Maya, Mexico

For beach chill out there really is no beating the gorgeous Esencia boutique hotel on Mexico’s sun drenched Caribbean coast near Tulum. Rooms are stylish and chic. There's a great balance of privacy and exclusivity without being over the top.

Estancia El Colibri, Cordoba area, Argentina

Estancia El Colibri near Cordoba is definitely up there for its incredible horse riding, outstanding personal service and beautiful accommodation. Try your hand at everything from polo, horse riding and gaucho activities, trekking and fishing.

Pacuare Lodge, Turrialba, Costa Rica

Pacuare Lodge in Costa Rica is without doubt one of my favorites - totally unique! Getting to the lodge is a real adventure - it's on the banks of one of the most scenic white water rivers guests arrive by an exhilarating raft through pristine jungle.
